“I’ll Kick You in the Head with my Energy Legs” is a new skateboard documentary book by British photographer and VICE Magazine contributor Jonnie Craig. The book consist of 122 pages of black and white photos published by Swedish label Dokument; photographs include Kevin “Spanky” Long, Chris Ault, Casper Brooker, Tom Knox, Craig “Questions” Scott and a foreword written by Johan Kugelberg. Kevin Cyr presented his “In Praise of Rust” exhibition at the Jonathan Levine Gallery. The Brooklyn based artist pays homage to the vehicles seen around the streets of New York; the vehicle covers graffiti, rust, scratches, dents and other marks that symbol “deterioration and decay”. Cyr states “Rust serves as a good metaphor for this series, a symbol for deterioration and decay. The meaning also changes slightly when used as an adjective, as in: to become “rusty” or impaired through inaction or disuse.” The exhibition will run through until June 16th at the New York City Jonathan Levine Gallery.
